Earth

Earth is the third planet from the Sun. 95% of the planet's surface is now covered in ice following The Deep Freeze. Beijing, Cairo, and Mexico City are the three bastions of humanity left functional after the gelid catastrophe, barring some small groups of hardy survivors who live outside city walls, such as the Rocheglee tribe. The Deep Freeze event destroyed several satellites, leading to collisional cascading of nearly every satellite in orbit. The three bastions are forced to use short range radio signals from towers within the city walls, or to use the moon as a satellite (providing it is in a clear line of sight).
