We have never allowed the voe into our villages. We have also never disallowed them from setting up camp on the edges.
While the
Gerudo people are well known for their long lasting distrust of men, going so far as to not allow them within the borders of their settlements, the various husbands and fathers of Gerudo women have long had a custom of staying near to their wives, especially those that were unable to acclimate to their husbands native regions. As such, a vibrant, younger culture of Gerudo thought and creativity has grown outside of the Gerudo defined women-led leadership.
A People of Variety
While most Gerudo men are actually
Hylians, the nature of their varied cultures make their encampments rich in food, clothing, and art. Additionally the camps serve as mini-markets, allowing male merchants of other species like the
Rito and
Zora to more easily partake in trade in the vast
desert and even helps get around some issues in dealing with the
language.
