Oceania is the Goddess of Life and the Ocean. It is said that Oceania was the source of all life on the face of Terra Firma, starting eons ago when everything was new. Oceania and her sister, Elune, created mankind, spreading their influence all over the world for the mortals. They were happy, and so were the mortals. Their goal was to create life on the blank canvas of Terra Firma, allowing different creatures to flourish and prosper, that is, until some the other Gods decided they didn't like what was happening, and they wanted to cause havoc and destruction. Yharm was one of those involved in the Era of Demise, causing catastrophes left and right, wiping out mortals at her own will. For hundreds of years, it was a never-ending struggle for the mortals, as the Gods, those that are supposed to watch over them, battle against those who wish to destroy their work.
For years, it seemed to be an uphill battle for Yharm, Oceania and Elune managing to hold her and her forces back, that is, until Yharm got the upper hand, and slayed Elune. This was the first instance of an ethereal being actually dying. It is said that Oceania cried for decades, causing the oceans to become dark for years and act violently. It is also said that with the death of her sister, the moon disappeared. It is rumored that, over the next hundred thousand years, Oceania tried harder and harder to get Yharm defeated, eventually managing to lock the Goddess of the Damned in Terra Terrorium, where she will presumably rot for the rest of eternity.
It is said that after the Era of Demise, life flourished once more, albeit without the help of Elune. Oceania is said to have made the town by her own will, as a memorial for her sister, the fountain in the center representing the moon, a pivotal part of our world.
