The creation of Terra Firma was the start of the entire universe. The Gods and Goddesses in the Etherial realm created a planet that acted as a blank canvas for their creations.

For over 43 and half billion years (ED), the Gods and Goddesses of Terra Etheria, such as Oceania and her sister Elune, got to do whatever they wanted, creating places and people, while deities like Yharm had to sit around and do nothing, or sometimes be good when she didn't want to be. She rallied Gods against the 'good guys,' attempting to clash with them for years and years and years. Cataclysmic events would continue until eventually the Gods put a stop to the shenanigans. It took until 550 ED for them to tame the savage Goddess, Yharm, and put her in her place, the Underworld.
Summary
It is said that the Gods and Goddesses, mainly Oceania and Elune, created Terra Firma and all its inhabitants. With the creation of the good, so comes the bad. Yharm would rather stand and fight the good guys and not sit and be controlled. She was angered, and decided to fight, waging war over eons and eons, until eventually failing, becoming imprisoned in Terra Terrorium, a personal prison for her for eternity.

It is unknown if this is actually true, since anyone who would have been alive during this moment in the Era of Demise is long gone. So this war, and the repercussions of it, are absolutely unknown to be true or not.
