Arzuros
The Arzuros, or "The Blue Bear Beast," is a Great Beast with the Fanged Beast subtype, found most commonly in the forests of The Kingdom of Krakonia in the Southwest Northeast Quadrant (The Adventurer’s Domain) , typically near fresh water sources like rivers and ponds. It is known as one of the more common great beasts in Requerm - Plane , and is only truly dangerous to those unprepared to fight great beasts in general.
Arzuros is noted for its turquoise colored fur and ursine body structure. It has a ridge of erect hair aligned with its nose. Its back is made of a tough hide, somewhat characteristic of a carapace. Hair runs from its cheeks, connecting to its back, where it forms a trim along the sides of the back. The claws of an Arzuros have elongated, red nails. Each claw has a tough brace encasing and protecting the wrist and forearm. Arzuros has large, bulky legs connected to much smaller feet and a short, wide tail.
Arzuros are omnivorous creatures that enjoy feasting on fish and honey. When eating honey, Arzuros pays little to no attention to its surroundings. When threatened by other large monsters, Arzuros will try to use its size and claws to frighten the monster, or will use its agility to escape. Arzuros often hangs its tongue out of its mouth. It is also armed with two vicious claws which it uses for most of its attacks, using its large body and surprising agility for charge attacks and pinning down prey. It is normally docile, but territorial, attacking any who enter its home, which are typically in enclosed spaces such as caves. Arzuros are also known for being intensely protective over their offspring.
Due to its common appearances within the Kingdom of Krakonia's territory, there has been much information obtained on its strengths and weaknesses. As a great beast, it is able to use major defenses to its advantage, but it has a vulnerability to fire, cold, and electric energy damage.
Arzuros was first seen in the campaign during the prologue, where the party was tasked with dispatching one from The Lynian Gold Mines . Upon decapitating it, the party discovered the Arzuros was raising three young cubs that they then took back with them to Krakonia City and handed over to Pantera Kynigos for the benefit of The Hunters Guild of Krakonia(HGK) .
