Dukxix

Forgotten in a locked maintenance locker aboard The Psygorellius, Dukxix is one of the first generation of automatons made by Hephaestus for the Karoj-Menos experiment (to transfer the consciousness of the gods into cyborgs to escape the Cyclical Hegemonic Curse of the Cosmic Aurora).

Resembling a steam-powered robot with a bronze finish, Dukxix possesses immense strength, made from thick sheets of Lemnian cupronickel alloy (resistant to high/low temperatures, deep space dust corrosion, & invasive bacteria - ideal for working in the vacuum of space), and possesses a reliable & sturdy construction capable of lasting for eons without any serious need for repairs.

However, several technical drawbacks kept it from being the go-to bodies for the pantheon. Its liquid fuel tank burns through Ichor pretty quick (shutting down completely when the tank is empty), its "ticker" requires a rewinding every couple years to maintain homeostasis of its vital components & has limited mobility due to its size and simple joints.

For all intents and purposes, this was an initial prototype that was more a proof of concept than a final product. While Hephaestus made a limited number of Dukxix's model to assist him with simple tasks at his various forges. The god never intended these machines to operate with independent thought.

However, when the crew found Dukxix onboard and refilled his empty reserves of Ichor, he attacked the Psygonauts because they "startled" him. Over time, Syracilus believed this model possessed a soul (possibly someone who greatly angered the forge god).

Seeing as there's very little space for memory storage, Dukxix doesn't remember anything about his past and almost constantly overloads his primitive CPU trying to process this new sector.

Eventually, Syracilus constantly tinkers with Dukxix to overcome these few design flaws. However, his past is lost forever to the universe. The only piece of information in his long-term memory are the numbers: 5-5-5.

The crew elect to keep Dukxix on board as the group's heavy loader & head of security for The Psygorellius

During their adventures, Dukxix consults with anyone who can give him a clear understanding of what he calls his "numerical purpose." Most times this leads opportunistic fortune tellers and thieves who trick Dukxix into giving them valuable items from the Psygorellius.

Dukxix is a clumsy giant who isn't very good at controlling his unwieldily body or accomplishing complex instructions. However, his protective and uncompromising nature left from the residuals of his former life place him in between anyone who wishes harm towards his ship and its commander (leading to several misunderstandings when it comes to assessing friends from foes).

Eventually, Dukxix will learn the numbers 5-5-5 correspond or his "numerical purpose" is part of a scattered combination, meant to unlock a massive vault within the volcanic core of Hephaestus' sacred forge on Thermesclano (outside the Hellecian Sector).
