Fannar, Blood of Alexandersson

Family History:

For centuries the Blood Of Alexandersson was a highly respected family within the Teuta. However during the early years of the Eperom War, the Northern Territories were being overrun by the Veran. Instead of asking for assistance from the Aki, the families pride lead them to try and fight this enemy alone. Thousands died due to the families arrogance and the Iron Keep was eventually taken. For five years the keep became a stronghold for the Veran as the Teuta were pushed further south. It was during this time, Lárus Blood Of Alexandersson was striped of the title of Jarl of the Northern Territories. Following his defeat, the family was sent to the freeze. For years Lárus would try to gain favor with Jarl Olvar in an attempt to regain his families status.

Personal History:

Early Years
Born in the mining town of Fellsbaer, Fannar was the second son of Alrus and Emilia. He was an inquisitive child who would often run off as soon a his mother turned her head. He spent many of his early years exploring the mines of the area. He was well known by many of the miners who would share stories and tips about easily navigating the mines. This upset his father whos main focus was trying to regain his families status among the Teuta. Several weeks after his 13th winter, he would help dozens of miners stay alive after a cave in. His small size would allow him to crawl through the rock and bring food while they worked to move the rocks over several days. His older brother Jónas would often mock him for spending days down in the mines. But Fannar knew that he wanted to explore the unknowns of the world. Several Sol's before his 16th winter, he packed up his things and left with only saying bye to his mother and grandfather.
Life outside of the Freeze
After leaving Fellsbaer, Fannar's first stop would be the port of Noorland where he would board a ship and head north. He would then travel to the port city of Kamara, then Amhoven and finally the Port of Man. From here his mother would receive letters from all around the world. Books and spices from Kampon, tobacco for his grandfather from Havas, beautiful bird feathers from Awis Island, a ruby from the mines of Werstidhlom Esr and everything in between. Over the years the letters would become less and less frequent. It came as no surprise to his mother when the letters no longer came. While she was saddened at first, she would often be seen with a smile when her son was mentioned. As she knew he had left to live the live he always wanted, free from the troubles of his father and brother.
A Possible Last Sighting
Decades later after the passing of his mother, an Iklan scholar from the Freeze by the name of Greta would travel to Awis Island to study aves. During her time there she would spend days traveling the forest with an old Iklan scholar only known as the Gray Tailed owl.

Relationships:

Alrus

Father of Fannar, Alrus was a stone hearted and demeaning man. He often openly belittled his son in from of family and strangers. He hated his sons lack of interest in returning the families status among the Teuta. He favored his older brother Jónas for his ambition. When Fannar left its said that Alrus threw a banquet to celebrate the death of his son.

Emilia

Fannar's mother Emilia was the only one who supported him in his quest to know all things. While her husband schemed, she would send for books to be sent from the Lost Library in Tuvaneia. When he talked of traveling the world she would only ask that he send letters so she knew he was safe. When Fannar left, Emilia was not sad as she knew her son was going to live his lifelong dream.

Jónas

The older brother to Fannar, Jónas often beat and mocked his younger brother. As children he would steal and burn the books that Fannar spent hours reading. As they grew older Jónas would beat up his younger brother who would flea and hide in the mines. Its said that a few weeks before Fannar left, Jónas ambushed his brother in the mines and held him down as he broke his right arm.

Lárus

Grandfather to Fannar, Lárus would often tell him stories about his travels in his youth. While Emilia would often tell Fannar that many of his grandfathers stories were made up, Fannar did not care as he enjoyed the tales of far off lands and people.
