Annals of Fannar

Fannar was the second son of Alrus minerseasilyamongwithgrandfather
"All I ask of whoever finds this, let it be by this journal or your words. Let my mother know I died in peace."
-Fannar, Blood of Alexandersson
Last Entry of his personal journal

White Stone Sea (Sea)

After boarding a merchant ship at Noorland we set sail north towards the Port of Man. I was excited and cared little for where I ended up. I wanted to go to the places my grandfather would tell me stories of as a child. I know they were meant to scare me but I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. Our first stop is the port city of Kamara, then Amhoven and finally the Port of Man. Kamara and Amhoven should be simple enough to get around. But the Port is another story. The crew tell stories about a group of islands south of the Port, where the taverns only care if you have money. The merchant says I have two options, 10 silver to smuggle me in or jump ship before we make port. Honestly, the waters are far warmer than back home. So I'm thinking of going for a swim.

"For many Sols I traveled north until I reached the Port of Man. Never have I sailed on such calm waters. Few would believe the serenity I have felt these past few Sols."

Awis Island (Island)

This island is like no other. The multitude of bird species that make their home here is astonishing. I heard a tale from one of the dock workers that a past king sent 15,000 soldiers here to remove a group of poachers that set up on the island. It must be false, no King would care enough about an island to do that.

Havas (Spice)

In my time here I've heard many try and describe what its really like here. Beautiful on the outside but with a bleak underbelly. The island is rich with a spice that's sold throughout the world for its flavors. Its the most fascinating place I've been so far. I've met some of the world's most beautiful women here. Proposed once and denied twice. I've met a man who said he raised dragons for the Red Emperor. I've been robbed twice, then won it all back in a single game of cards. Helped free a slave from a spice plantation and then almost sold into slavery by the same man. I've been stabbed once and have stabbed two people. All the guards did was make fun of my form when I did it. I will never come back here but will remember it fondly.

The Ruins of Old Regnis (Ruins)

Its almost like they rebuilt the city of Ajastia around the ruins of Regnis. It feels like its a reminder to the Ossen that this is no longer their land and at any moment the Order can wipe them from existence. There is much evil here you can almost feel it. I really don't have much else to say on the matter.

"The ruins of the old city can still be seen to this day. Few Ossen seem to pay any mind to them. I'm sure it reminds them of past sorrows. I think Ill go north to Rajon next."
-Fannar

Saint Guiscard (Garden)

While its the most beautiful place I've ever seen, I can see the history and beauty bastardized by the Frons. The architecture of columns and structures is clearly Elvin. It seems they had some half rate stone mason come in and deface them to add their own peoples emblems. Maybe it was best that we left these lands. To stay behind and see what has happened would break my heart over and over again. I wonder if returning to these god forsaken lands will be worth it in the end.

"Some of the finest stone masons throughout the lands crafted the structures of the garden hundreds of years ago. The roots of the oldest trees run deep and are watered by the blood of elves."
-Order Priest
Phrase told by many during Fannar's time in Saint Guiscard.

Stones Edge (Demon)

I joined a party that was heading out west to explore Stones edge. It took us a week to prepare for the journey and several more to reach the Andalashin mountains. The weather took a turn for the worst as we passed over the mountains. As we grew closer the night got darker and darker. It seemed even the moon feared the night. Soon one morning several of the guards they hired were missing. As we headed out we eventually found their bodies. They were dead but no wounds could be found. Almost as if their souls were taken from them. Eventually we could see Stones Edge off in the distance. That night one of the guards told me of the Kado, demons that guarded the lands of the dead. They would come as the sun would set in armor as black as night with winged helms. They would come to claim the souls of those who crossed over into deaths land. I took these to be tales told to scare explorers from searching the mountains for treasures. Soon I would cross swords with these demons sent by death. I would escape but not before I was left with a reminder to never tread in these lands again.

"By the Gods, that was no man but a demon I crossed swords with. I fear this might be my end if I don't make it out of here."

Kampon (Palace)

The port city of Kampon has well earned its name as the Eastern Jewel. For a city as young as it is it feels centuries old. At its heart is the Palace names after the Coeman Family. The families wealth is evident in the mosaic tiles embedded with jewels other precious stones. Their flaunting of wealth is almost sickening. To make matters worse I hear their fortune is built off slavery. They are credited with the creation of parchment. Children are bought young and taught to read and wright. Then they are sold to noble houses and businesses to keep the books. Some even say royal families will kill the child when they turn 18, so that they don't get wise and run off with all the families secrets.
