Equite

Robotic horses produced by the Ardent Corporation and employed by themselves, Lupin Corsairs, and cuirassiers of the State Guard in battle, as well as mounted infantry Albor crusaders. Originally made as a replacement for their organic versions, hippidions.
Stunningly proud creatures with fairly advanced artificial intelligence, equites recognize and develop attachment to their riders, and hatred for their enemies. Their AI is made to aid in navigation in and out of combat, and can drive itself unsupervised. However, as with all digital technology, all systems shut down when outside of the Conclave Area of Influence, turning into mute (but functioning) machines.

Power Generation

Ardent fuel may be extremely unstable, but makes equites move with a spring in their step.

Propulsion

Four legs in most models, although with the Ardent being as they are, some are bound to be modified with wheels, tank tracks, springs, or rockets.

Weapons & Armament

Two forward-facing cannons, flamethrowers or railguns. Aditionally, the rider usually carries a lance or a sword.

Armor and defense

Usually employed to charge the enemy head-on, they tend to sport heavy plating on the front to protect themselves and their riders.

Sensors

Equites can observe their surroundings through a hardy camera located under their front plate, count with a rudimentary sense of hearing, and are able to recognize their current rider.
