Amathara Acosaphaura (AH-mah-THARR-ah Ah-KO-sah-FOW-rah)
- Usbet
Amathara was the eldest child and only daughter of Brelul and Chandira Usbet, the wife of Andras Acosaphaura, and the mother of Kotia Acosaphaura. During the War of the Six she served in the Hidden Company led by Iknais; she and her husband went missing shortly after the signing of the Inebi Armistice and the end of the war, and are presumed dead.
Having been somewhat estranged from her family -- including her two younger brothers -- from a young age due to differing morals and values, Amathara was already close to the Acosaphaura family within the Etir prior to her marriage to Andras. Devatska and Eraleon regarded her as the daughter they never had once the two were married, and somewhat prior. Although the Usbets were another notable family for their marksmanship, Amathara easily also shared the Acosaphaura talent for koza-riding.
She was regarded as kind, just, and spirited; one of her notable acts in the aftermath of the Bitter Hand's release was her search for survivors, wherein she rescued an infant. This act was commemorated by Akasien Ttarvek in their poem "The Epic of the Hidden".
