Affenblau Family (AFF-en-blauh)

The Affenblau are a political family of Keismeb and, prior to Shedrogard Affenblau's death shortly after the end of the War of the Six, part of the Keeping. Their prominence declined following Shedrogard's decision to side with the Pact of the Blessèd -- compared to the rest of his peers and Unenshuut generally, who sided with the Violet Accord.
Shedrogard and his husband Ninbucah were the heads of the family; their successor was charted as Ninbucah's sister's son, Pelleas. However, retaliation against the family in Shedrogard's absence resulted in the siblings being killed during the Siege of Keismeb (under the guise of civil unrest), and Pelleas is still too young to manage affairs alone. Those remaining loyal to the family have abandoned the estate in Keismeb and fled with the boy, with weak promises to return when he is of age. In the meantime, Luiran Asmir-Vitane has been steadfast in holding off the Keeping's ambitions to divide his former neighbor's estate and its affiliated sites -- all related to the production of compasses, in which the family made their fortune -- for the time being, and is acting as a neutral custodian until the matter can be resolved fairly once the boy is older.
