The adventurers find the Viliage of Barovia mostly abandoned after a horde of undead broke through the town’s outer barriers. In exchange for accomodation the party deal with the horde. Making way to the local tavern, the adventurers meet the Vistani owners and the town masters son. The Vistani recommend they see Madam Eva and the Tser encampment and offer to guide them there. Issmark requests the party’s help burying their father’s body at the local church ground
The party help bury the town master, discover Doru and meet Strahd Von Zarovich for the first time
The adventurers fight Strahd Von Zarovich. The party is quickly overwhelmed and surrender. Ireena Kolyana leaves with Strahd Von Zarovich to save her brother Issmark "The Lesser" Indirovich
The party negotiate with Bildrath, attempt to communicate with raven, travel with the Vistani and are ambushed by @Order of the Silver Dragon
The adventurers fend of the Silver Dragon’s ambush, protecting the the Vistani children. Once the threat is defeated, tensions are high between the two groups. A mysterious person steps through time and space to command Dion to join him, both Vistani and party are completely beguiled by the event. The party make it to the Tser Encampment and meet Madam Eva .
Dion fails to communicate with the spirit of Sagittarius, the masked man summons Tuppance and the investigate The Old Bonegrinder . Dion gets backed in a druidic circle and the party investigate what gets baked into Moon Pies
The party head back to The Old Bonegrinder with a plan. Boniface, Dion and Gerbo attempt to sneak around the building and draw out the fiends while Mother and Tuppance work together to scale the building and levitate the children out of the third story window. Dion stirs the fiends attention before they can get into position and a hard fought battle keeping the fiends at bay ensues. This gives Mother and Tuppance enough time to free the children before Mother lights the building on fire. The other three, worn down from the fighting and fast running out of means to stay alive, attempt to retreat, hoping they have given mother and Tuppance enough time to achieve their task. Seeing smoke, the fiends rush back into their home, concerned for the party, Boniface and Gerbo, both battered and exhausted head back to make sure everyone is okay. The spot the party and children and meet up back in the forest. The party now contemplate what to do next.
The party travel the woods, discover an injured Varish and are chased by wolves lead by a werewolf
The party flee the woods, Tuppence is turned in to a sheep and they finally make it to Vallaki
The party talk more with Diagon and Urwin. Urwin gives the party some friendly advice over breakfast before the party head to the orphange.
The party head north to see some ducks on Lake Zarovich. Turned away the speak to the Department of Adventuring Outsourcing for permits.
Tuppence and Dion communicate with the Night Mother and discover more about her fate. Gerbo summons a new familiar and discovers Diagon's true identity. Mother learns some Smithing skills from Yasper Draskoi . Strahd and his entourage make an appearance in the streets of Vallaki.
Mother and Gerbo cause a scene with Strahd in the town centre of Vallaki. The party is escorted to The Baron to discuss the disturbances they have created and their task at hand. Tuppence discusses Barovia with a bard. Dion gathers intel from Durthon, Mother continues to learn his trade for Yasper Draskoi while Gerbo searches for a lead to powerful magical items
Mother talks with Yasper, struggling with the lands of Barovia. Boniface re appears out of thin air on top of breakfast, the party prepare to travel to Lake Zarrovich with Rudolph and Jacarb. They run into some undead goblins and a necromancer goblin, experimented on by druids.
The party move on from the undead. Arriving at Lake Zarrovich the party board a free Keel Boat and attempt to find the missing island. On their success they find themselves surrounded by druids in row boats. Battle ensues. After a chaotic battle a young Kraken appears from the depth, before a battle erupts Boniface, with the help of his octopus Dave, talk the Kraken down and gain safe passage, finally making it to the now rediscovered island
The party discover a trapdoor into a small underground dungeon. Below the lake they find schematics for some kind of magical crystal, similar to the one found on the Goblin Shaman with necromantic powers. They eventually find the the bodies of the kidnapped chained to the wall of a cavern, a sight of dark worship. One still breathes. The do battle with a Priest of the Night Mother, a druidic henchmen named Hawk and Deamon of Rot. They take Hawk hostage as they discover magical items, schematics and letters documenting a political negotiation between the Cult and the Baron. Revealing that the Baron would not interfere in the cult's plans and systematic kidnapping of Barovians if they would agree to the kidnapping of state sanctioned people, namely political enemies. Along side this they discover that the cult were trying to re create ancient and powerful crystals used to enrich the soils of The Wizards of Wine, harvesting those with souls in order to do so with middling success. Considered inefficient the Cult, under the leadership of the High Priest, Lady lysaga, were now laying siege to the Vineyard. While talking with Hawk they eventually decide to feed the druid to the young Kraken as an offering of friendship and alliance.
The party emerge from the dungeon to a cold and foggy lake. The feed Hawk to the Kraken who promises them safe passage going forward as thanks for dealing with the cults movements in it's lake. As they make it back to shore they find Zarthen Gibbly waiting for them. The once believed dead wizard of the previous party and friend of Elladaine Uriquin. Nervous and scared she joins the party back to Vallaki and takes an interest in Tuppence's magical abilities, offering to conduct further studies into how her magic came to be and how she might be able to gain better control of them. They arrive to a very drunk and celebratory Vallike as the Festival of The Sun is well under way. When they arrive back to the Blue Water In they are welcomed back as heroes. Realising that their feats are starting to gain them fame and favour. They join the crowed as the head to St Aldran's church for the open feasting and find hundreds of people, including a few people they know celebrating. They are again met with raucous applause, Boniface proclaims the lake free to resettle, infuriating the Baron. The Baron toast's the party and offers them a seat of honor at the feast. The party break off with one another to talk to different people to ask questions, attempt trades and gather intel on the political going ons in Barovia.
The party gather information and celebrate but after midnight Strahd decides to visit, bringing death and destruction with him.
