Vallaki
Demographics
Primarily Barovians but Vistani take out residency on the outskirts of the town.
Vallaki has the highest concertation of Trades people in all of Barovia and acts as a hub of trade. Due to this Vallaki has the strongest economy and diversity. The majority of Barovians here still live in abject poverty with no political power or will. Established tradesmen have created alliances to influence the Town Master's decisions.
Government
The town master has the final word in all decisions but works in tandem with a small circle of trade representatives who lobby for their own interests. Tax from citizens are collected by those that represent their employment/trade and is given to the Town's Coffers.
The justice system is a small court over seen by the Town Master themselves, the court is essentially theatre for the lower class. The laws are kept inscrutable to bend to the whims of the ruling class.
Defences
Wooden Spikes either side of the 10 ft iron gates.
The Town is surrounded by a 10 ft wall of stone, the most impressive in Barovia excluding Ravenloft.
A small watch tower at each gate is filled with 2 town guards, both archers. The gates themselves are manned by 2 guardsmen to open and close the gates
Industry & Trade
Most trades are central here
Food exports, especially wine are critical for the sustainability of this town. They export it to the surrounding settlements and people.
Infrastructure
Vallika has a functional but dilapitated sewerage system.
Main roads are well maintained stone roads for the purpose of helping to sustain the continue festivals. All other roads are little more than well worn dirt roads.
