Orphanage of Lost Souls

Under the patronage of St Aldran's church, the Orphanage of Lost Souls cares for the orphans of Vallaki

Purpose / Function

To care for and provide skills to the orphans of Vallaki

Entries

The front door is the main entrance as well as a back door through the kitchen towards the back yard

Sensory & Appearance

The building always smells of hearty but plain cooking, slightly wet laundry and the earthy aroma of wet soil

Contents & Furnishings

The building contains trinkets and items from dozens of children over the years through out the entire building. The first floor contains a small lobby with desk for administration. The wall behind the desk hides a large kitchen as well as a small room with a cot and sink for cleaning.
The second floor has several cots for the the children as well as toys and books
The 3rd floor is a crowded room of desks and writing equipment for lessons.
The slim back yard has a well for water and laundry as well as a crude means to hang clothes

Architecture

a small cottage that has had crude extensions added to the facade as well as 2 poorly designed levels and chimney

History

The building was bought by the church in 1461 and established as an orphange by 1463. Extensions were added in 1465, 1472 and 1479
