The Middle Lands
The Midlands are found on the inside of Flux, and are home to most of its middle-class society. Sunlight peers through the Inland Belt to shine down on on the otherwise obscured lands inside, creating the most predictable weather patterns of any land. The overall cultures and societies are not much different than our own world's suburban cliches, though it's because this land was discovered a while after the others and organization had become much more popular.
Geography
The Flying Flux is hollow. Inside this abomination to science are is the largest of the Five Lands. Here is where most people make their home when they decide to settle down, giving this place a fairly peaceful history (save a few scandals). The terrain is mostly smooth, but there are places where large pillars of land rise up to meet the ground directly above its base. The sunlight is regulated by a massive rotating mirror, which creates a cyclic day and night to keep everyone on schedule. This is an envied commodity since the other lands have only light and dark seasons that remain constant on a daily scale. However, few adventurers wish to settle down in such an overpopulated and underwhelming section of Flux, preferring the adventurous life offered by one of the other four continents.
Fauna & Flora
There are zoos, but most of the animals that actually roam about have been long domesticated. Leaving a few scattered oddities exempt, the vast majority of local pets have a very low intellect and an equally muted desire to overthrow the world.
There are many strange growths unique to certain areas of the Midlands, though none are exactly harmful. The least appeasing plant is usually just an overgrown lawn or some malcontent's untrimmed hedges which make the whole neighborhood look bad.
Natural Resources
The Midlands contain nearly all of the Flying Flux's specialized professionals, as well as many valuable medical herbs that can be found in any reputable hospital. Because of this, the Midlands are widely considered to be the safest place in the world.
