Dia Lecht Character in The Flying Flux | World Anvil

Dia Lecht

Dia Lecht (a.k.a. Little Flower)

The poet, storyteller, and philosopher known as Dia Lecht has written several critically acclaimed pieces, though her most famous work was on Linn Ennim and the odd relationship she created with her country, Lippit. While most have painted it as a child/parent dynamic, Lecht introduced a romantic concept that spread quickly... to the Mournful Queen's dismay.
Dia Lecht capitalizes on the intrigue of emotion, not the revelation of truth--that which is true will never be accurately romanticized by the pen of a poet nor the tongue of a bard. If you want history, then listen to a historian.
— Linn Ennim

Personal history

Born in a Highland field, this extremely literate flower-like Fluxer was discovered and adopted by a rich mogul family. It's said that she was discovered talking a wild Animal out of consuming her, speaking with a hypnotic tone that lulled the creature into placidity. Of course, the term "wild" is used loosely, since carnivorous beasts would pose no threat to a flower.
Nothing is forever one way or another, but only a moment of life that is soon chased away by the next. Take joy in that sadness will fade, and value the scarcity of your happiness.
— Dia Lecht

Dia showed great promise from a young age, and wrote her first well-known prose after no more than two years living within society. She even caught the attention of Todd Voracious Willygate, the Supra of the Chazra, an impressive feat that did not happen again until Linn Ennim's arrival onto the political scene. While she made little difference in society, Lecht's goals of being a "little flower" in others' lives was most certainly achieved.

Education

Similar to Supra Willygate and Linn Ennim, this philosophical poet was primarily self-taught. This was primarily due to the flower's unconventional appearance--not to mention, most conscious flora is carnivorous--but she was quickly able to open their minds and hearts with a few simple phrases.
That's okay. I can like you, even if you don't like me. You might not be my friend, but I'll always be yours!
— Dia Lecht

Naturally, after each witty compliment and gleeful wave of Dia's beautiful white petals, another heart was overwhelmed with adoration. By somehow bridging the gap between childlike innocence and a wisdom that should be found in someone much older, this unique creature happily became the face of optimism. Likely the most openly loving intellect, she claims to learn most from interacting with the people around her.

I love everyone from experience! Because this is the case, how can my feelings possibly be naive? If they are, why should I abandon them?
— Dia Lecht
Your incorrigible. The logic you utilize is sound, but this reality you claim to see has been perverted with emotion. You're subjective, but wisdom is undeniably present.
— Linn Ennim in response

Speaking is an expression of thought--quite literally when it comes to Fluxian. Sincerity is palpable in every word she speaks, which is a fantastically attractive, though sorely underappreciated trait.
