Tongar

The Tongar are the most abundant and most travelled of the Amanu race, spreading to all corners of the world and adapting to ecological niches that range from the verdant jungle mountains to distant frozen wastes. The Tongar range greatly in terms of size, coloration and complexion, ranging from ghost white to night black, and coming in every shade between. Versatile and adaptable, the Tongar can be found almost everywhere, having conquered, interbred or outcompeted most of the other Amanu races of the Fourth Cytcle from which the emerged.

The rise and fall of grand but ephemeral Tongar empires and their warring city-states throughout the Fourth and Fifth Age have come to define the Tongar character in the eyes of others. The Meruvidians conquers of the Great War, the Dromarian expansionists and raiders, the Al-Alsahra and the Mnarian genocides, the Altanagali book-burners, even the squabbling Anterosians at the epicenter of The Fall. Some Kazmorites even go as far as to suggest that the Tongar are descendants of the imprudents amongst them that destroyed their own civilization, simply spilling onto the surface rather than living with the consequences of their own actions.   Regardless of the accuracy of these accusations, it's true that the versatility and range of Tongarians is matched only by their ambitious imaginations. Tongar are capable of great heights and even greater falls, walking a fine edge between glory and destruction that over time has produced a numerous and ubiquitous people. Some historians believe that the adaptability and versatility of the Tongar come from tens of thousands of years of surviving disaster and malady of their own creation, a people defined by their ability to survive their own nature.
