Gahr Reigh

During the events of Session IV - The Missing Firbolg Gahr is introduced to the party after being found naked and robbed. He joins the party and charms a Harengon named Jonathan Vozdat, leading to the return of his equipment. Gahr plays a significant role in fighting the Merrows, using his great sword to deliver fatal blows. He later falls into the bog while trying to cross the stepping stones and loses his chess set. Gahr helps put out fires in the balloon factory using wet vestments and is eventually stabilized by Myrtle after falling unconscious. Gahr continues to support the party by asking Clapperclaw about Wirth and inquiring about his whereabouts, eventually leading to Wirth's rescue from a holding cell at the Soggy Court.   During the events of Session V - The Loss of a Friend Gahr has an awkward encounter with Jeffrey, the Bullywug. Gahr attempts to contribute during the battle between Tarin and Morgot but steps away momentarily. He later struggles during the battle with the tree, making puns that do little to alleviate the situation. Gahr is eventually grappled by the tree and falls unconscious. Despite his efforts, the battle ends with Myrtle delivering the final blow. Gahr also engages in an encounter with Jeffrey but remains focused on the group’s mission, ultimately joining the party in mourning Nishara’s loss.   During the events of Session VII - The Electric Shock Gahr's boldness is evident when he provokes the wasps by thrusting a crossbow bolt into their nest, though this leads to chaos. During the encounter with the Dark Mantle, Gahr’s actions inadvertently put Tarin in danger, but he later helps to remove the creature. The battle with the gelatinous cube proves to be a significant moment for Gahr, as he is engulfed by the creature and nearly loses his life. His weapon becomes lodged in the petrified cube, leading to a moment of grief as he mourns the loss of his trusted blade. Under Lilygrove’s spell, Gahr nearly helps her steal Sir Talavar, but the deception is revealed before it can go too far.   During the events of Session VIII - The Hag of Downfall Gahr attempts to create a smokescreen to deter the wasps, but when this fails, his bold move to shoot a crossbow bolt into the nest leads to chaos. Gahr’s later efforts to move the mirror with a crowbar also prove futile, but his determination remains undeterred. When the group shrinks after entering the hidden passageway, Gahr finds himself trapped beneath a cabinet, requiring the group’s combined efforts to free him. Despite these challenges, Gahr continues to contribute to the group’s exploration, retrieving valuable potions from the moss-covered wooden cupboard and later engaging in a conversation with a caged satyr named Vansel on the balcony. His offer of a potion to the shrunken satyr, allowing Vansel to nestle in his backpack, showcases his resourcefulness and compassion.   During the events of Session IX - The Blood Pact after helping to restore Vansel to his original size, Gahr receives a "Stick of Good Luck" from the grateful satyr. His encounter with the frog statue where he puts his arm into it to voice a lost thing prompts reflection, though the story focuses more on his actions later. In Nib’s Cave, Gahr attempts to mediate the conflict with a talking stick, but Talia seizes it, leading to further chaos. Gahr’s good-natured quips, like the one about not losing one's head, add a touch of levity even in the darkest moments.   During the events of Session X - The Unicorn of Wayward Pool Gahr shows his compassionate side by laying a flower on the grave of a blink dog and participating in the campestris' dance, earning a Potion of Heroism. He demonstrates his leadership by taking the first watch and later interacting with Lamorna the Unicorn. Gahr is deeply moved by Lamorna's presence, fainting upon seeing her, and later asks her to kick him, which she does before leaving. During the battle with Zarak, Gahr actively engages the assassin, even diving into the lake and attempting to impale Zarak on his "horn," imbued with the spirit of a water horse. His determination and bravery are evident throughout the encounter, even when he loses his axe in the water.   During the events of Session XI - The Knight and the Paladin Gahr finds a magical greatsword named Michael (or ‘Micky’) stuck in a stone at the shores of the Wayward Pool, but is unaware of its magical properties due to Kiara's decision to keep that information from him. During the journey back to Little Oak, Gahr muses about the nutritional value of goat milk, which results in him being headbutted by a polymorphed redcap, leading to a skirmish. He carries Lilygrove after she falls asleep and later participates in the planning session with the Getaway Gang to infiltrate Loomlurch. At the marketplace in Loomlurch, Gahr is shrunk after eating sweets he received in exchange for a trinket. When the party meets Skabatha Nightshade, Gahr offers himself in place of Kiara and becomes encased in stone after the hag withdraws her gifts and petrifies Lilygrove. The party tries to free Gahr but fails, and they continue their exploration of Loomlurch with Gahr remaining in stone form.   During the events of Session XII - The Massacre of Loomlurch Gahr is freed from the stone and flees Loomlurch with the rest of the survivors.   During the events of Session XIII - The Return to Loomlurch Gahr spends the session slicing a table in half, grappling enemies, and delivering decisive blows in battle. Gahr loses his sword temporarily during a chaotic fight with mimics and tin soldiers but continues to fight, grappling and pushing enemies to the ground. He later assists in capturing Sowpig and provides protection for Mila, who rides on his shoulders.   During the events of Session XIV - The Ironscale Hydra Gahr Reigh takes center stage during the session, revealing his quest to potentially resurrect a Bahr if three challenging tasks are completed. He successfully engages in battle against Cradlefall, ultimately deciding to spare its life despite Lilygrove's suggestion to defang and declaw it. Gahr also plays a critical role in freeing the captive Elkhorn and Ruben and later engages in a fierce battle against two harpies, displaying his combat prowess. In the climactic battle against a colossal iron-scaled hydra, Gahr fights valiantly but is eventually knocked out   During the events of Session XV - The Mushroom Hunt Gahr leads the group upstairs, engages with Pincushion the Living Doll, and devises a plan to pretend they are inspectors sent by Skabatha, allowing them to proceed safely. He plays a significant role in combat, dealing with the tin soldiers and eventually helping to save Brottor after encountering the poisoned dwarf. Gahr Reigh also faces the challenge of finding a cure for Brottor, navigating tense moments with Lilygrove, and dealing with the group's conflicts. He assists in setting fires to rooms and rescuing Pogo from the kitchen grate, sustaining injuries in the process.   During the events of Session XVI - The Bridge Wedding Gahr Reigh grapples with the revelations about his magical sword, Michael ("Micky"), after being questioned by Feathereen at Silverswan Lake. Despite his reluctance to accept its magical properties, he is continually nudged by both Feathereen and his companions, Lilygrove and Meela. Gahr is confronted by Mr. Witch, who reveals himself to be his father, leading to a tense confrontation and the resurrection of Bahr Reigh, Gahr’s brother. The price paid for Bahr's revival was the death of Gahr.
