Arkan Jaff

Arkan Jaff is a young elf, who has for a long time attempted to get into the Silent Shepherds, Syoll's biggest thieves' guild. He tries his best to impress the leader, Blade, by stealing (or attempting to steal) more and more valuable things. However, he is not entirely competent as a thief (which is also why he is not a Shepherd) and gets caught a lot. Due to his incompetence, he is not really treated as a threat by the city guard, more a nuisance. His various escapades have also led to a certain level of fame in Ironstar, although most people who’ve heard of him have no clue what he looks like.
When Arkan attempted to steal a family heirloom from Gella Carbonhill, he found himself tracked by the Formidable Disparates, although these had only just met at that point. The Disparates found Arkan in front of an entrance to the Underbelly, magically roped up against the wall (he had fallen for a trap). After some discussions, they went through his pockets, found the necklace, and failed to release him from the trap. Holu, while investigating the room, discovered a switch that she guessed would free Arkan, but remained quiet, so he was left to hang by the wall until somebody else would free him.

The Heist

In an attempt to redeem himself after the embarrassment of yet another failed steal, Arkan attempted to break in and steal as many items as possible from Trinkets & Tronkets with the help of two individuals he found in a tavern in the Brimstone. However, the group was caught by Filkas Smorah, owner of the shop, who banished Arkan to an outer plane of existence while he talked to the other two. He was retrieved from the plane shorty after, and told to stay away.
