The Eight Aspects of Syoll
7th of Lifleges, 1411 CY
The Eight Aspects of Syoll, usually referred to only as “Syoll”, is a vast, landlocked country surrounding a great, sweet water lake called
Nessur's Eye. Many of its cities are built on the foundations of an ancient civilisation called the
Elphead, who disappeared millennia ago. Enclosed in the east by the
Neverending Mountains and in the south, west, and east by the
Great Forest, Syoll is near impossible to get out of, unless one travels to one of the many independent island nations on
Nessur's Eye.
The Aspects (which act as semi-independent provinces) all have a strong political and economical codependency with one another, since each produces something the others lack. Additionally, each Aspect has three regions (called “holds”) with their own elected leader, the
Triad Representative.
The Syollan people have a variety of different ancestries, which are usually regarded without bias or prejudice, and mingle with each other in every Aspect. It is also common for people to move between Aspects for education or employment, since there is strong variation of availability in the Aspects.
