Gella Carbonhill

Gella Carbonhill, referred to by most people as simply "Gella", is the current owner of the The Dancing Frog in Ironstar. There, she cooks for her guests and provides beds for merchants, adventurers and other travellers. Though a lot of people tend to avoid her, she has many guests and any who gain her trust can count on her wise council.
In 1383, Gella, the then leader of the Carbonhill family (now the Carbonhill Clan) decided to move her family and residence to Wellspring Keep, which had been mostly abandoned until then. She acted as an unofficial leader until 1401, when she decided to pass the title to her eldest child, Hevion, in order to fulfil her her dream of living a simple life.

Personal history

Gella was born into a wealthy family, the Carbonhills. As she grew, so did her family's power, with her parents and extended family members taking turns to be the Ironstar representative. As an only child, it was always clear that Gella would take over the family legacy, which was always stressed especially by her mother. Although her family took power with fear, Gella always loved spending time with the people.
When her parents died in an accident in 1362, after their hold on the city had been wavering, Gella decided to run for Ironstar Representative and won in a landslide. This solidified the Carbonhills' power in Ironstar Hold. A rather strict but fair ruler, Gella was loved by most and soon her wedding to Relcavar of the Green River, a Colliennan wood elf, provided a morale-boosting celebration. 
In 1383, after years of peace and public happiness, Gella decided to move her extended family and their personal guard to the abandoned fortress at the top of Ironstar, Wellspring Keep. This caused a mixed response among the people, but never to an extent where Gella or the Carbonhill Clan lost their position on Ironstar's Triad Council. 
However, Gella was not truly happy in her position, especially after her husband's death. Once her eldest child, Hevion Carbonhill, was of a reasonable age to rule, Gella took the chance and retired. She bought an Inn in the Wellspring and lives there today in relative peace and quiet.
