The Fall of Minyabar and the Flight of the Elves
In the spring of the year, goblinoid tribes unexpectedly stormed up from the south tearing though Minyabar. The Jotan are forcibly united by Tumo under a infernal being calling himself “Syrtyr” and renew a coordinated attack against the Dwarves. Orcs appear seemingly out of nowhere to reinforce both armies. In the summer, Minyabar was putting up a valiant defense but rapidly losing ground. The first demons are seen in humaniod armies. Chromatic dragons begin to make themselves known. By the Autumn, the Elves of Minyabar were in withdrawal towards the southern part of the Khazadhiem mountains. The Jotan advance nearly break the tunnels but the defenses continue to hold, if at great cost. The Dwarves begin collapsing the passes in the northern Khazadhiem tuning the mountains into one big defensive wall. Then came the winter of sorrows. The Dwarves cede the northern Khazadhiem and half of Khazad-Gathol leaving the tunnels trapped to keep the enemy from using them, and the passes blocked to keep the enemy from crossing. Metallic dragon appear, keeping the chromatic dragons to busy to help with the land army. The Elves arrive at Khazad-Gathol and are told that the price to use the underground pass is to guarantee the Khazad refugees place on the Elven ships. When the forces of Tumo arrive and the Dwarves and Elves mount a last charge to protect the column of refugees. The combined armies of the humanoids and Jotan marched against the Dwarves and the Elves who were said to have battled for over two days. The refugees were able to flee and block the pass over Romenlonde. Denied the pass, and the tunnels themselves unsafe thanks the the "Mountain’s Revenge" the main force of Tumo had to march around the Khazadhiem mountains and were not able to take Romenlonde until after the ships had sailed.
