Veranyn Character in The Discontinuum | World Anvil

Veranyn (Ver-Ann-In)

Veranyn was the author of the famous poem and song known as Veranyn's Lament, which was published at Letronne City in 2353 AF. Little is known about her life or the true identity of the lover to whom she appeals in the lyrics of the lament, but she is thought to have been a technician warden on the Ice Dams.   She died at a relatively young age in a flying accident over the Ocean of Storms.   Veranyn's short poem was the seed used by the playwright Taldyne Zinthrano in his famous tragedy, "Tinto and Veranyn", although Zinthrano takes great liberties, inventing a complex love triangle for Venanyn which comes entirely out of his own imagination.
