Dock workers, pirates, sea nomads, and gangers are common sights in the area.
Government
Overseen by City Manager Calypso, appointed by elders of the Thelas Nomad nation.
The Thelas Marines act as secondary security providers.
Guilds and Factions
Consortium: A tightly organized Russian mob group with ties to the Thelas nomad nation.
Deadwoods: A cowboy-themed gang that styles themselves as defenders of NC's railways.
History
The Port was once regarded as a part of the South NC "suburbs", and used to house "dirty infrastructure" that the elites would rather avoid noticing. In recent years it was established as it's own district, now run by the Thelas Nomads.
Points of interest
Dock 13: The storefront (and occasional night market) of marketing genius Willy “Mister Amaaaze” Maze.
Dock 14 Studio Apartments: An apartment building just one dock away from the always loud Dock 13.
Dock Cargo Community: A cargo container community nestled between the docks.
Flotsam: A small drift town just off the coast. It consists of several larger vessels run aground connected by smaller boats, rafts, and walkways. The Randy Dandy, a mobile bar, often docks here.
Medical Technologies: A body bank specializing in growing replacement limbs. Known for buying and selling dodgy cyberware as well.
Rusty’s Dive Shack: A rough-and-tumble bar for sea-faring types. Built out of the bridge of an old container sub.
South Night City Reclaimed Studio: An apartment building near the water. Leaving the building risks encountering gangers visiting Medical Technologies.
