Screenface Territory
Demographics
While the area has a reputation as a Scavenger's playground, it's mostly populated by those too poor to go anywhere else, or the customers of the Screenfaces. Unscrupulous Nomads come here for vehicle repairs and are often keeping security, as the area is targeted by police for raids.
Government
The Screenfaces have taken to collecting protection money from the area inhabitants, as their strength in numbers and modest defenses prevent an all-out raid by police or corporate authorities. The locals put up with this for better or worse, as many have already hit rock bottom and can't afford any additional risk.
Defences
Turrets, patrolling Nomads, and many bodies.
Industry & Trade
Scavs trade in scrap and BDs, in turn receiving protection and eddies, allowing them to continue production and living.
Infrastructure
Tent cities and broken suburban homes dot the area in high concentration, protected by scrappy turrets and other defenses. A water purification plant maintained by the Scavs serves as their base in body and power, as they control the quality of water in the immediate area.
Assets
Scrap, bikes, motorcycles, fabricated weapons, drugs, and BD equipment.
History
Once a calm Beverville, all hell broke loose when the bomb dropped. The area was quickly filled with refugees, and the strife between the new and old inhabitants quickly set the tone for the Red Decades. Scavenging from nearby areas, especially the factories and industrial parks of the HIZ, became a common trade, one that many poor families turned to in desperation. It's said that Screenfaces came to be when tensions between classes in the neighborhood came to a peak, with multiple bouts of violence breaking out, and the winners walking away with the suburbanite's little escape: the Braindance.
From there the scavs grew and were consequently hunted by cops, culminating in the riot of 43, where the Screenface's numbers proved better than what the NCPD was willing to throw out.
Points of interest
Wilde Street: A beaverville nehiboring the water. Mostly people staying here are squatters looking to hide behind the scavs. Heavily damaged in the wake of the Arasaka Tower bombing.
Water Treatment Plant: An old treatment plant built by the Morro Canal. One of many, it's been slowly retrofitted into the Scav's base of power, and repaired to provide water to a small part of Santo, a service the gang is attempting to leverage for profit.
Architecture
A typical suburban sprawl dotted with tents, debris, and makeshift barricades.
Geography
Borders Del Cornado Bay, lying close to water level.
