Whetay Market
Services
The market, of course, has all sorts to offer. From food to gear, and the occasional tome. All sorts of oddities can be found at the Whetay Market. Particularly things which you might not be able to find commonly in the town.
Food
There's a medley of food stalls. Bubbling pots and hanging cured meats. Spices, herbs, you name it. Although the selection is not as impressive as Lumeport, it has some niceties.
There's a particularly famous stand ran by a woman with the bizarre name of Wommelken. It specializes in sandwiches. Specifically, crocodile sandwiches. A rare delicacy seeing as the Quilled Alligators are rather dangerous to hunt. She'll gladly employ a few of the Hagslayers to go kill one just for her.
Clothes
There are a few stands which specialize in the selling of clothes. Most of them would not belong to entrepreneurs but rather townsfolk who's profession it is to work with leather or weaving. Several stands can be found selling Johann's leather goods. Shoes, armor, waterskins, etc.
Alchemy
There is a small stand manned by an Ironil man. Rudavin is his name - blond, short hair and a face covered in burns. He wanted to escape the politics of the Banks and so moved here. He opened up a stand to sell various alchemical goods - good business when the drifters are passing through. There's a good selection of common alchemical items to be found here.
Magic Items
There's a rather beautiful set of stands near the center of the marker - eye catching, meant to attract drifters. Here all types of oddities are sold and bought. Its a hotspot for anyone looking to delve into the Red Ruins. Even more so for those returning. Its run by a group of retired drifters - all gray haired and wrinkly now, they've been doing this for a while. Klar, Agnes, and Greta are their names.
Gear
There's a small building in the middle of the market known as Drifters Stop. A small collective of farmers started it as an outlet to sell all sorts of potential goods they would produce that could be of use to drifters. With time the selection has expanded, they import things from Lumeport that they can't produce here for whatever reason.
History
What was once the Wheotay Market for farmers to trade goods and services has expanded. Now, near weeklong the market is kept open. Its bustling ruckus is heard all the way to the wall.
It started with traders from Lumeport needing a place to peddle their goods. Then, with more drifters ending up in town farmers began catering to that and soon enough it was a rather diverse place.
