The Frederick's House
Denizens
Since the Hagslayers arrived Fred's has gotten a bit rougher. The edgier tourists and Akoits gather here together with the hired hunters to indulge in the rather pungent whiskey. If you want information about monsters or the Red Ruins, Fred's will do you as good as any library in town.
Contents & Furnishings
The Ground Floor is a sort of introductory area to the tavern. A lady named Endlen works the front desk here. Endlen can direct you were you need to go, if you would like to buy a room you could do so here. Beyond the front desks are steps leading both up and down in addition to a few rooms on the first floor. The rooms are rudimentary. Each one is furnished with a small wooden bed, a bedstand, and a chest. Its comfortable.
The Upper Floor is just dedicated to housing. This is where the Hagslayers are currently staying.
The Frederick's House is known for its drink though and this can be found in the Basement. The cellar of the Fredrick's House is lined with bricks. As soon as you descend the smell of whiskey hits you. Its a warm, candlelit interior, no natural light reaches down here. Behind the bar is Sive. A tall, grey haired woman who has been working here for years. The room is full of tables and chairs - most of them fashioned from old barrels.
In fact, the entire room is decorated with all sorts of whiskey-related adornments. Empty bottles become candle holders and the Wicktens seal is to be seen everywhere.
Architecture
Fred's is a two storied house in Yeffield's city center. Its not too far from the Henze House and is the oldest pub in town. It follows typical Yeffield architecture. The walls are made of timber and painted some pail color. Nothing fancy. The roof is shingled, made of bricks. Most houses in Yeffield have brick houses due to the accessibility of clay in the Old Lake. The upper floor protrudes out a bit from the lower one and the red roof has several chimneys poking through it.
Services
Fred's offers rooms for 1 silver piece per day. As you know, they're nothing to write home about but they are better than nothing. This service comes with a washhouse out back.
Additionally, food and drink is served in the cellar. Dinner is 2 silver, lunch or breakfast are 1 each. There's not a lot of choice when it comes to drink. For the most part you either drink goats milk, whiskey, or ale. Prices vary. The Whiskey is always Witkins. The ale comes from the Martis family, sold nearly exclusively here.
