The Kingdom of Greywood
Greywood is perhaps the nation most caught up in the war against the Fey . They occupy the vast foggy forests of the east where they hold the frontline. They’re suspicious, superstitious, and bear an intense grudge against the fey. They are also known for having a terrifying army of fanatic soldiers on the brink of madness from unsafe consumption of Ichor.
Structure
The Kingdom of Greywood heavily carries on the traditions of the past, upholding a feudal system. The Grey Woods and fields have been divided into smaller areas, all ruled by their own noble with a connection to the King. In an effort to raise funds for the war, the King taxes his subjects heavily. This drives all ruling nobles to push their areas hard, resulting in harsh living conditions.
How each area chooses to sustain themself varies. Within the forests some resort to hunting (both normal creatures and monsters), while some areas focus on farming or fishing near bodies of water.
Culture
Greywood is a nation embodied by war. In these harsh woods, with high taxes, only those of strong mind and will thrive. For the common subjects, self-sufficiency is of the highest regard. Sharing food or resources may come off as boastful, as one should prioritize one's own kin first. Greywood also has the longest work week of all nations, with only 2 days of rest as the norm. Of course true steel-willed individuals would work all 10 days.
Greywood nobles are a different breed entirely. For them it's all about the subtle ways which you can brag. You might hear a mother say "I worry for my son ever since he was awarded his new military title. He never visits his mother anymore.", as a way to boast of their diligence within the family. Beyond that, noble families with warriors are awarded the highest praise. A dutiful warrior daughter is worth more than any daughter that gets married off. Scars, and lesser wounds, are a sign of pride within Greywot society, but a serious disabled body (eg. missing limb or blindness) would quickly lose that favor as you're no longer fit to fight.
Greywood as an entirety fear the Fey most of all. Regular Fey Hunts are common practice, and it's not unheard that neighbors with grievances will accuse their next of being Fey. As such most Greywot's carry pieces of metal on them, as they believe it wards off Fey and magic. For nobles, it has become high fashion to wear Rust jewelry, sometimes with dramatic spikes and edges. Spellcasters are incredibly rare within Greywood's borders, as the constant suspicion of being a Fey would endanger them too much.
Public Agenda
The Kingdom of Greywood believes in Human strength. To them, the Fey are a scourge which needs to be punished. The war must be won at any cost.
Assets
Greywood sustains themselves through a trade of timber and hunting. What is truly the strength of Greywood are their living trees. Infused with large amounts of Ichor , these trees bend to the wills of generals and magic users. They both allow for easy transport, with trees bending down to become paths, and for incredible defense. This makes it hard for the war front to move further into Greywood territory.
Greywood have also experimented with Ichor-infused husbandry, but have not reached as stable of a level as The Nation of Konsearna. They do still have abnormally large animals, which they rely on for food supplies. Greywood soldiers' have many a jokes about the large intake of dried and cured meats.
History
Greywood has been at war since the Fey's conception, for centuries now. While the Kingdom has struggled and sometimes thrived, it remains the Human nation to have taken the brunt of the consequences of the war.
Demography and Population
The population of The Kingdom of Greywood is near exclusively human. It is, by law, stated that no Fey nor Harvesters are allowed within the borders of the Kingdom of Greywood. This coupled with the ongoing war has led to a strange populace comprised of primarily young humans, with a handful of retired veterans, and a visible lack of 25-50 year old's.
Laws
The Greywood constitution highlights a few things as essential nation wide, and leaves the rest up to local rulers to decide.
- The Kings rule is absolute, in absence of the King, whoever they appointed shall rule with absolute power.
- Those deemed enemies of the Crown must be arrested immediately and sent to their majesty for judgement.
- Fey are declared enemies of the Crown.
- Harvesters are declared enemies of the Crown
- Anybody who harms a Greywoot is an enemy of the Crown.
- Anybody who questions the Crowns ideology or decisions is considered an enemy. This includes but is not limited to - anti-war propaganda, deserters, and those who avoid punishment.
"Pride in Strength"

Friendly, Trade relations
The Kingdom of Greywood does not trust the Council of Oars fully, but highly appreciates the military help they offer, especially from a naval stand. They suspect the Council of Oars might have dealings with the Fey, but aren't in a position to cut ties with them yet.
