The Mines of Arazzator
The Mines of Arazzator are located behind the City of Arazzator, carved out of the Arrae Mountains. The city served as the capital of the colony of Bennoth Ikk and its mines where among the most important of the island.
The ambitious project to carve out a fully operable mining complex was completed over the course of several decades. Eventually the mines consisted of a central plaza that included several shops and establishments where its citizens and workers could meet. It had dedicated halls for the miners, smiths and artisans as well as a residential area and a government palace, not unlike that of the Domar kings.
When the old mines were no longer resourceful enough the dwarves set out and discovered a new part of the mountain that was rich in their precious metals. For years they mined the mountains, until they unearthed something. Something that would bring about the end of the colony.
