the horizon company is a far-flung independent corporation holding many colonies and trading ports, controlling crucial shipping routes. this entire operation is run by the powerful sfarins family. once, a relatively minor noble family in the 1st sarvosi empire, the sfarins have expanded drastically in power and wealth the world over as the founders and leaders of the mighty horizon company. ruling its many colonies and controlling a vast shipping network spanning the globe.
Structure
the company rules its territories through a complex system of trade and economic agreements with local rulers and provincial governors overseeing all, however, they generally take a more hands-off approach only intervening when issues arise. the primary goal is always money and security
Assets
alongside the sfarin's monstrous fortune, the company actively owns many fleets of ships transporting exotic goods from places like yevela and naltry all to omwela, asena, and grathil. horizon also owns, consulates and embassies in many countries and cities around the world as well as directly controlling several cities and trading ports.

the horizon company has a total of twelve major colonies and outposts scattered across ephonel, each overseen by a provincial governor appointed by the company. horizon territory can be found on every continent; from the undoace peninsula in hocier, to the isle of nalacraust just off the coast of omwela, this gives the company its motto "every land, ours a piece"
Military
the horizon company maintains little in the way of ground forces, it mostly leaves land defense to its allied/client kingdoms, however, it does control a large navy -mostly modeled off the DCY's- to protect its numerous trade routes and ports, scattered all across ephonel.

despite being almost entirely controlled by the sfarins, the horizon company does have a legislative body of sorts; the dependent council. this group is made of representatives from the territories, including the provincial governor appointed by the company and two elected ambassadors acting on behalf of the people. this group, plus the finance, defense, and information ministers meet regularly to advise the company master on company policy.
