Naga finds a powerful but mortally wounded figure wandering through the mists. She revives them with an amber liquid known as "holy sap" and cares for them as they recover over several days. Grateful for the help Naga gave, the kitsune offers her a daily blessing to help her luck and fortunes grow.
After several weeks of regaining strength and memory, Naga brings the energetic Kitsune to a distant but trusted relative, Thea Marshall. Arrangements are made and the young fox comes to understand that this new place is now "home." Kitsune continues visiting Naga daily to offer their help and blessings.
Kitsune spots an unusually bright aura within the crowded downtown streets. They begin to shadow the woman who they discover to be the next heir to the Excalibur family, Eugenia Excalibur. Eugenia's burning desire to bring justice to the city, becomes a siren call for the Kitsune who seeks to ally themselves with her cause. Shortly after, the young fox begins to appear whenever Eugenia engages in her more secretive Avalon projects and organically becomes a part of the 'crew.' Naga takes a particular interest in the activities of the LaStrange Antiques Shop and Ms. LaStrange herself.
Kitsune is enrolled at PS 192, a school known for progressive and challenging academic programs. Kitsune felt Katuri Ikeda's presence and a wave of calm washed over them as he stood near by. The constant voice from within Kitsune was silenced momentarily as the human teen watched Katuri from across the room. For Kitsune, it was love at first sight. As the school days passed, Kitsune was drawn to the teenage boy and their infatuation soon turned to epic longing to be closer to Katuri. In an unexpected change of luck, Katuri offered to tutor the young fox with their neglected subjects. They began to meet three times a week in the library for Study Hall.
While investigating the strange vandalisms around the Ahmagi Art Gallery, Kitsune found one of the Beasts finishing a spraypaint mural on the roof of the warehouse. Kitsune used a powerful spell on the teenaged artist convincing him that they were going to be the best of friends. Ravyn brought Kitsune to meet Bear and the Beasts where they managed to impress the group enough to be included on their secret mission. After Bear's death and his influence on the teens subsided, the group gathered at the Brewery once again. Looking at this mismatched group of emerging rifts, Kitsune felt compelled to not only help and protect them, but to give the wayward teens a place to call "home." The effects of Kitsune's magic on Ravyn never seemed to ware off resulting in an unnatural connection between the teens. Feeling a unususal sense of attachment to the Beasts and Ravyn, Kitsune made a commitment to help the fledgling group in what ever shape they wanted to take.
On September 22 a near-riot broke out as a result of community unrest after the gruesome murders of three deeply pious community members. What is not commonly known is that the Church of Santa Teresa de Ávila was specifically built on top of a site sacred to the native tribes of the area—which is actually a location-based Gateway for the Horned God mythos. The reported "riot" of 9/22 was no less than a full-on assault against the structure of the cathedral by the (mostly teenage) followers of Bear, a priest of the Horned God who sought to free the mythos from its imprisonment. The murders, meanwhile, were the work of a fanatic named Christina Atwater who thought that sacrificing a true believer would reinforce the Horned God's prison. That didn't work out real well for either one of them. Kitsune played a significant role by infiltrating the Beasts and alerting the crew to Bear's destructive plan.
In the aftermath of Bear's death, Eugenia Excalibur purchases the abandoned Blonski's Brewery, pouring funds from Avalon to create an ambitious new project, The Avalon Center for Teens. Remodeling and new construction transforms the decrepit space into a hive of activity for youth to gather safely, away from the harsh streets of Cross End. Unexpectedly, Kitsune becomes a dominant figure among the core group of Beasts and finds themselves in a leadership position among their peers. They also officially accept a interment position at Avalon to help create the new "Brewery." Though they feel uncomfortable in this new, very visible position, Kitsune forms close bonds with many of the core Beasts.
Kitsune receives a phone call from their tutor/crush asking to meet at their chance encounter bench in Cparicorn Park. Kitsune rushes to the location in record time with heart-eyes and love in their heart only to find their crush confused, upset, and talking to a unseen presence. Kitsune offers a "blessing" giving their otl temporary relief from his troubles.
Beloved Aunt and sister, Suki Ikeda's sudden passing brings the entire family together for a day of remembrance and mourning. Kitsune tries to contact Katuri but is refused admittance by Aunt Gemma. They meet Katuri’s younger brother, Toma and find he has the unsusual ability to be two places at once.
