The curroption was biologically made to attack all living tissue.

Symptoms

Gas

Once inhaled host’s lungs are on fire and brain experiences loss of bodily functions. Blood comes out of eyes and nose relentlessly. Host then loses consciousness from full exposure to brain and is sent into a coma. several hours skin turns black and major organs fail resulting in death.  

Physical wound

  Once Fel Spawn inflicts a bite or a scratch, it quick spreads a the skin turns black as the curroption is more advanced once Fel Spawn is created. In a matter of minutes the infected dies and in an hour a Fel Spawn is created.

Treatment

The gas symptoms are treat able through a strong dose Gestorn, a highly dangerous drug that can kill almost any form of diease. Once injected into the infected body it is a one in five chance that they will die from shock. But if they survive, they will be able function properly once more after a few months of bed rest to learn how regain control over their body.

Prognosis

After death, body begins reconstruct itself and become monstrous, resulting in the creation of a Fel Spawn that will attack anyone that is near them and infecting them.

Sequela

Those who survive the curroption may experience serveral symptoms after a few years from their recovery. Depending on who long the curroption has been in their bodies it can lead to some perminant damage to organs. Which can lead to shortness of breath, eye sight worsening, seizures, coughing up blood, trouble hearing, loss of smell, loss of taste, and difficulty feeling heat.

History

Black Fel Corruption is one of the many monstrous creations of Drescan Empire's science department. It was genetically designed to deal with enemy forces and transform them is killing machines in the empire. By combining various diseases and a hint of dark magic, resulted in the creation of the ravenous Fel Spawn. This was first used in wiping out resistance cells in hiding. A Fel Spawn was often released into a populated area and begin infecting anyone they find, forcing the enemy to flee or be infected and killed when finally caught. The area would then be purged to ensure that it did not get out of control. But then someone hand the bright idea of add control implants into the disease to force the Fel Spawn to obey their every command. Once the Shadow Wars broke out the corruption was used on many battlefields and many lives were lost and those replaced fought their former comrades in arms with no mercy. Hospital would often have hundreds of soldiers at a time that were slowly dying from this accursed blight, with the dead often burned to stop them from rising up once more. The corruption would be less in the war as the empire resources to produce it were dwindling. Once the wars it finally ended all facilities storing the corruption were destroyed and all files on it as well to ensure it could never be used again.

Cultural Reception

It was considered something that never should have existed to begin with and had to be eradicated. At first, those where originally infected were given aid and tried their best to save them. Many would die and their bodies burned after they learned that Fel Spawn would take over after a few hours. But after a curing them was possible they tired their best to save their live as march as possible.
