Sunmaiden

Feared by all creatures of the shadows, the Sunmaiden is warrior with white-hot fire in her eyes, and a living sun in her hand. She is the daughter of Sarenrae, the Breaker of Mists, and the Coming Dawn. It is said that she can eat stars, burn the air with her breath, cook a devil with her gaze, and sunder the deepest darkness with a wave of her hand.   Depicted as a matronly women with hands alight, she is best known for her rivalry with Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods. While the two have never clashed directly, the Sunmaiden has killed dozens of her children, which the Outer God replaces with a sickening frequency.   Like the Roaring Justice and the Shield of Light, she is often followed by warriors and law enforcement, and is considered one of the most righteous of the Saints.

Blessing of the Sunmaiden

Range: Single Source, 60 ft. Line emanating from the Caster
Action: Standard
Duration: Instantaneous   When invoking the Blessing of the Sunmaiden, the caster's main hand fills with a veritable nova of energy, representing the wailing cries of a dying sun. With a flourish, the power is unleashed in a beam of white-hot fire, which attempts to incinerate all within its path.   Creatures in the line of effect may attempt a Reflex save (DC = 10 + half the caster's CL + the caster's key ability score modifier) to avoid the beam. Targets who fail are immediately killed, and all their non-artifact equipment is reduced to ash. Those who save take 10d10 fire damage, which bypasses any damage reduction or fire immunity.   If this Blessing is used to target a good or neutral creature, the beam reverts back on the caster instead, requiring a Reflex save at the Sunmaiden's DC. After the beam dissipates the caster immediately falls unconscious, and must rest for eight hours to regain the energy spent in the blast.
