Hold
Holds are the beating heart of Awarth's industrial and social structure, serving as its formal, governed districts. Each Hold is overseen by an Anchor, one of the nine ward leaders who form the Council of Anchors. These leaders shape city policy, balancing the competing interests of powerful factions, laborers, and the survival of the city-state itself.
Holds are hubs of productivity and stability (however precarious), each defined by its unique contributions to Awarth’s economy and society. From Greewerks, where Greefolk clans dominate the Gree trade, to Smokestone's vibrant artisan markets, Holds are where the city’s resilience and ingenuity thrive. However, this order comes at a price, as residents often endure grueling labor and harsh conditions.
