The Frontier Coalition is as close to authority as Baazdos has seen since the Powder Rush took hold over 100 years ago. Maintaining a neutrality throughout the Unification War by selling black powder and its byproducts to both sides, the once ragtag group of pioneers has evolved into a full scale operation, supplying refined blackstone throughout the Provinces and beyond. With its hold on the city of Bastion uncontested, and the flow of blackstone seemingly infinite, the Frontier Coalition spread its influence into other endeavors. They began offering charters to explore the ruins and ancient tombs of the continent, eventually subletting the majority of the city to the explorers and their "companies".
When the Ur-ghat Tai lich know as Hereth sacked the city of Bastion, the Frontier Coalition leadership closed their doors the the rest of the city, leaving their subordinates to attempt to maintain order in complete leaderless chaos. Word of their abandonment reached every corner of the city in short time. Combining this with their poor treatment of Grulk’s Compromise, and alleged involvement with the Silvertooth Syndicate, the FC’s reputation was permanently marred, leaving a void where CC’s Trading Company could step in.
