Seekers of the Arcane

The Seekers of the Arcane, commonly called simply the Seekers, are a loose organization of treasure hunters, scholars, and explorers, with lodges throughout the lands. They scour the world for artefacts, magic, and treasure. Though often described as unscrupulous and self-centred, some Seekers claim high-minded goals.   The Seekers were founded in the early fifty second century AtD, at around the same time that the Cerulean Empire emerged. Legend says that their founder was a man called Emmanuel Baglis. Baglis gathered together the imperial explorers and surveyors of the fledgling Empire, giving these individuals a greater purpose, and suggesting they could explore (and plunder) the treasures of the world together.   There are many rumours about this secretive group. Many suggest that they serve a greater force than suggested by the common tales, and that they work secretly on some unknown purpose. The organisation is certainly unforthcoming and difficult to contact, and none know who the current leader is. With shadowy motivations the Seekers are not a greatly trusted force in the world, and are generally viewed with suspicion.   The symbol of the Seekers, known as theĀ Seeker's Signet, is eight triangles arranged in a star around a circle.   The Seekers' longevity and resilience are largely due to its decentralized, grassroots, secretive nature, and the near-autonomy allowed to many of its members.

We go where others dare not. We see what others cannot.
