Oda Gimlet

(a.k.a. Bowsprit)

A towering pair of wooden warehouse doors seal shut the entrance to a sea cave near Ambercove harbour. Painted on these is a white anchor and the words ‘Gimlet’s Ship Repairs’.
Swinging from ropes attached to a rocky overhang above the entrance to the caves are buckets filled with tools. Swinging in a harness along side them is the gnomish engineer Oda ‘Bowsprit’ Gimlet.
Oda is a boatbuilder and repairer, well known and highly respected throughout the Amber Coast region of the Empire.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Oda is an amiable, dark-skinned gnome who has a habit of chewing pungent tobacco. She works by swinging from ropes attached to the ceiling of the cavern and climbing in the rigging of the boats she repairs.
She wears a leather harness and brass-rimmed goggles, and her curly black hair is tied back into buns.

Notable Achievements

Oda worked on Imperial shipping back during the The Great Pelagic War, allowing the Empire to fight for many months longer than they otherwise would have.
