Alecto

Alecto is the largest of the three main islands that make up The Hecatae archipelago.
It is a vast plain of volcanic rock. A relatively thin crust covers hidden rivers of lava flow, that emanate from the single volcano in the centre of the islands hills. The air of Alecto is heavy with ash and sulphur, and is toxic to most races.
That is not the only danger of this terrible place however. Massive earthquakes regularly rock the unstable ground, opening up new lava-filled chasms at random intervals, and huge, strange worm-like creatures, some reported to be hundreds of feet in length, erupt from beneath the rock.
