The Foremen

I talked to Baluster Peter about Grisha and his men and how they've been roughing up folks over nothing. I asked him, "Why? Would someone rough up Mayhew over his leather prices. Sure he overcharges but pulling the man by his ear over this? Disciplining a grown man, an elder, in front of the town just to make him lower his prices?" I told him how they stroll into the bars stiff like lumber and people's voices get softer - fearful. What do these people have to fear? We're good people here, aren't we? Who made these men the authority? What makes these men think they can enforce the rules with their hands like this. Kaymer, I know his mother and father, we're practically neighbors. Good people. I knew him when he was a little boy. A little rambunctious but who isn't as a child? No, he follows Grisha around and just grins. It gives me chills how he just grins so big when they intimidate and demean people. Makes me sick.   I'm going on and on and Baluster Peter just listens and nods, and finally I just stop. Middle of a sentence. My mouth hanging open, and I gesture to him with my hands pleading for something other than another one of damned nod.   He says they're just young men who want to the best for our people. They sit front row at service, and they do anything the church asks of them. Perhaps their methods have gotten out of hand. I said "you bet your hide they have!" I mean I didn't say that but he could tell that's what I was thinking. He put his hand on my shoulder and said he'd talk to "the boys." Like they were still ten years old and just needed a little talking to.   I thanked him and left. And I was so furious I just had to tell someone.   -Overheard at a bar in Goroma
The Foremen are comprised of four young men, who have taken it upon themselves to enforce the laws in a small neighborhood in the city of Goroma. While not an official agency of the Structuralist church, The Foremen are devout in their worship, and keep close contact with local clergy. Locals have grown increasingly frustrated with The Foremen's tactics, which are comprised of intimidation and even physical violence.

MEMBERS

Grisha Yeninyr

Leader of The Foremen, Grisha is a handsome and brash young man. His father, Horshu raised him alone, and the boy worked hard in the family carpentry business. After a falling out with his father, Grisha threw himself even deeper in the church, and eventually started a neighborhood watch group which he'd call the Foremen.

Kaymer Korokin

Kaymer Korokin's family were descended from servants to the Honoroe family, the monarchy that ruled before the Structuralist Church took over. Struggling with his family's poor status in the city, Kaymer eventually met Grisha and his friends forming a bond over the church and their inspirational message. Looking to build a new life, better than his parents could provide, Kaymer Korokin is an eager member of The Foremen.

Antonin Malitko

Antonin was raised in a church-sponsored orphanage. While most children raised this way went on to occupations within the church Antonin felt that his strength would serve him better in construction. It was during a late night at the local pub, that Antonin met Kaymer Korokin and Grisha Yeninyr and the three became fast friends.

Toru Yamin

Toru Yamin had been detained by the church for violent crimes, when he met Baluster Aria. Aria met with Toru everyday to counsel him on his aggressive and destructive behavior. Baluster Aria, introduced Toru to Antonin, Kaymer, and Grisha hoping that the young men would help Toru develop a positive social circle. Aria had taken a liking to the boys and their devotion to the Structuralist church. Toru hasn't been in trouble since.

Other Persons of Interest

Baluster Aria

Not a direct member, Aria serves as a spiritual advisor to The Foremen. Some believe if it weren't for her influence the young men would be completely out of control. It may be through her guidance that she can channel their energy in a more positive direction. Others wonder how much control she has over them and whether or not she encourages their more aggressive impulses.
