Vashi Kurulas, a Metvian envoy sent to negotiate a trade deal between Metvis and the Watabowi Empire, spits in the face of Watabowi Metiki Tobiriyamako, sparking massive diplomatic tensions on both sides
In the month of Girsama, 5484 AF, Vashi Kurulas arrives in the Watabowi Empire, representing the interests of his native Kingdom of Metvis. He meets with the Metiki, Tobiriyamako, in the capital Kokora to discuss a potential trade deal between the two nations. The Watabowi however only allow trade with non-Obellian nations if the other nation pay a tribute for the 'privilege' of trading with the Watabowi. Kurulas and Tobiriyamako argue over these points, only ending in Tobiryamako ordering Kurulas out of his throne room. Kurulas agrees to leave, but shortly before walks up to Tobiriyamako and spits directly in his face, offended at his and his empire's arrogance. This gets Kurulas tortured and sent back to Metvis with news that the Watabowi Empire refuses all direct contact with Metvis.
