Wolfsbraken

Overview

Wolfsbraken is a den that is off-limits to outsiders and even members of the Madallaidh Tribe that claims ownership of it. It is said to be where the exiles of the tribe are sent who supposedly have embraced Madadh-allaidh, Aspect of the Wolf perhaps too much. The settlement itself is built into a cave in the hillside of the highlands within The Stormswept Foothills. Not many are sent here, and very few wander close by, both for fear of reprimand from their chieftain, but also fear of what lurks within the den.

Defences

Wolfsbraken itself despite being supposedly inhabited by the more feral and perhaps more.... transformed of the Baegir is far from lacking in defenses. A wooden palisade and gate provides defense at the entrance of the den. Furthermore, that being the only entrance into Wolfsbraken further dissuades would-be intruders from making an attempt to break into the town. However, there are never any guards outside the palisade wall, which perhaps grants even more speculation as to what truly lies within the town. The only marking is a singular sign nailed to the palisade that says, "Wolfsbraken, KEEP OUT" in the native tongue of the Baegir.

Geography

Around Wolfsbraken is the craggy foothills of The Stormswept Foothills. The rocks and steep hills making it difficult terrain to travel through, especially with a mount at times. Wolfsbraken itself is built into the hillside, extending into the earth with little more than wooden palisade wall and gate to mark its entrance. Perhaps the most defining feature of the region is the river that runs down the mountain nearby the entrance, running downhill so far to the plains region.
