The Realmscape
The Realmscape is a vast wasteland of crags and ravines that extend deep into the abyss. The Realmscape itself is a plane that exists outside of the normal flow of time and laws. It is, in a way, an extension of every realm connected into one vast plane of existence.
Geography
The Realmscape is a wasteland of crags and ravines. The wasteland and hills broken by massive cracks within the landscape. This is not to say that there are not spots that have some sort of life or stable ground. However, these areas are few and far between and rarely found outside the area near the Realmgates which serve as "Anchors" in this constantly shifting plane. Time is very unstable within the Realmscape and can fluctuate heavily. The only exceptions, like most things in the Realmscape are near the Anchors that are the Realmgates. There are some other magical anchors settled into the Realmscape but these are uncommon and can be dangerous.
Laws of the Realmscape:
- The Realmscape can only truly be accessed by Magic and can only be left by Magic or portals to and fro. The Realmscape, being the unstable plane it is, requires an incredibly amount of energy to reliably travel to and to leave.
- The Realmscape is the easiest way for a Mage (or Magi) to travel between the Realms as it acts as a sort of Crossroads to other realms. Traveling to another realm outside of the Realmscape requires a group of powerful Magi.
- Traveling to realms with no connection to the Realmscape can be done, but it is far from easy as one would need to open an unstable portal at one of the many "Fissures" around the Realmscape. It is done easier if the caster knows of the realm they seek to travel to.
- Time and Magic within the Realmscape can fluctuate heavily as the plane is ever-shifting and unpredictable.
