The Raven Court
Structure
The Raven Court is lead first and foremost by an individual simply known as The Raven Mother who precedes over all meetings of this occult society. Almost always the Raven Court is made up entirely of women who possess some talent of 'Far Sight.' A talent or perhaps magical ability that lets them see into the future and predict events before they happen. As it happens, the current leader of The Raven Court is the leader of House de Valen who leads the faction of Zenithyr in the War of the Five Houses. Griselda de Valen has lead them in this time of strife and her ability for 'Far Sight' is said to far surpass any of her predecessors.
Below her are four sisters which make up the 'Ruling Court' of the organization. Each one manages different important aspects of the organization and keeps it in order. First you have 'The Speaker' who manages the flow of information from The Raven Court to those who they deem are necessary. Their job is to either spread information or misinformation regarding any prophecies or distant truths as needed. Then you have 'The Listener' who keeps tabs on all the happenings of the world. They gather information no matter the cost if it will help determine what the true outcome of a prophecy might be or perhaps simply to pay attention to how things are unfolding in the world. Beyond those two exist the more managerial roles, you have the 'Seneschal' who is in charge of the resources of The Raven Court and ensures they continue operating and the flow of coins to and from the organization. Then you have the 'Master of Initiates' who oversees the training of any newcomers to the organization, honing their ability for 'Far Sight' and teaching them how to strive within The Raven Court. Finally, you have the 'Far Seer' who, aside from The Raven Mother usually has the most honed and well-maintained 'Far Sight' in the organization.
Below those five exist another group of 24 Raven Matrons and then the initiates below them. Each of them play an important role in the politics of the organization and ensure they have a foothold in almost every major city of importance within The River Kingdoms. If a meeting is called amongst all members, they will all flock to the meeting location, usually their secretive base of operations and oftentimes preform a joint 'Foretelling' as a group.
