Hebogweld Tribe
Overview
The Hebogweld Tribe are masters of scouting and guerilla tactics. They pay homage to Seabhac Roghnaithe, Aspect of the Hawk as their patron and protector. They are light of foot and said to be able to move unseen amongst the tall grass of the plains. Beyond that, their weapons emphasize their tactics, carrying javelins, slings, bows, and other ranged weapons and preferring to fight at a distance instead of close to an opponent.Territories
The Hebogweld Tribe prefer the plains to the mountains. They learned to stalk the land around them and hide in the tall grass, attacking suddenly and bringing down their opponent with their ranged weapons before slinking back into the grass. However, they also took up residence near the forested region of the The Stormswept Foothills where they befriend the birds near the edge. Of course, sometimes they come into some minor conflict with the Gleisinsear Tribe and Gwarcoedwig Tribe but it never amounts to much beyond an occasional skirmish.
Military
While it is well known that the Hebogweld Tribe favor hit and run tactics, slinking amongst the tall grass, striking hard and fast before slinking back into hiding. It is difficult to fight them in an open field and approaching their towns during war time is a death sentence. Oftentimes they are called upon to hunt great beasts that plague the lands of other tribes, but sometimes they are also called to hunt more human-like prey. Perhaps the most famous of these hunters are a small band that call themselves The Shaygors, hunters who have felled such great beasts that they are said to have made cloaks from the scales of dragons.
