Amathaneal Tribe
Overview
The Amathaneal Tribe or The White Bear Tribe are a group of very prideful Baegir who claim to be the oldest tribe, descendant from Gaul, Warrior-King, and the progenitor of their entire race. The Amathaneal take great pride in this claim, and because of this they have, or at least believe they have, some level of power or sway over the other Great Tribes. Being located in the plains and with one of the mightiest palisades cities in The Stormswept Foothills, they also happen to be where the Council of Twelve Tribes is held.Structure
First and foremost in the Amathaneal Tribe is their own chieftain, sat in their position of power within Leachnoc. Here they rule with the power granted by their position, settling disputes between the tribes under them, as well as managing relations with the other Great Tribes around them. Their role is integral as they lead their people down whatever path they might carve into history. Sometimes, it is through war and strife, other times, through peace and prosperity. Whatever the case, the people of the tribe look up to the leader to guide them in uncertain times.
Territories
Controlling the central region of the plains of The Stormswept Foothills, it is perhaps by mere luck alone that they have such a dominating presence amongst the Great Tribes. Because of their position and the fact they have one of the few locations so defensible and big enough to host Council of Twelve Tribes, they convene there for all their important meetings, unless they are required to meet elsewhere to examine a problem more closely.
The land itself is golden windswept plains with tall grass growing and fields of farmers and hunters riding out. Hills being the only thing that break the landscape, creating nice rolling hills where at the crest farmers and herders might look over their flocks, or scouts watching for trouble. The people of the Amathaneal Tribe are a very proud people who try to be fair and kind in all things. However, they will never give up ground to an enemy and are very firm in their beliefs, however kind they are.
Military
While the military wing of the Amathaneal Tribe is vast, many of the men and women dedicating themselves to a warrior path, they are perhaps most known for their use of halberds and the mighty Ballasciath, a group of soldiers who wear heavy furs and leathers, with shields made of metal from the mountains and spears. Aside from these they also carry swords for close melee. Perhaps most notable is how others attribute them to a 'moving wall.' It is said even the heaviest of cavalry cannot even make a dent in their wall, falling to spears or crashing into the wall, sending the horse falling head-over-hoof.
