Spinward Xenoform Warrior
Physical Description
The Spinward Xenoform Warrior is a formidable, highly specialized killing machine. Long limbs terminate in razor-sharp, organic blades, while six forward-facing eyes facilitate precise distance judgment. Infrared and low-spectrum visible light vision enhance targeting capabilities. A gleaming, mottled gray carapace provides natural protection. Biomechanical weapons harness ion streams to propel molecular acid globs at ballistic speeds, ensuring devastating impact. Robust physiology enables survival in extreme environments.
Role
Warriors serve as frontline troops, exceling at elimination and clearance operations. Fearless, direct, and violent, they execute missions with calculated precision. Versatility defines their deployment: infantry, commandos, assassins, and larger variants function as mechs.
Spinward Xenoforms deploy Warriors in orbital drops, sacrificing nine-tenths to create radioactive blasts, while survivors establish beachheads. Ground invasions originate from these bases. They share a similar nuclear metabolism to their Spinward Xenoform creators, their bodies sending pulses of helium atoms to bombard carbon molecules until the carbon atoms are imbalanced, creating radioactive Carbon-14, 15, and 16 atoms. The radiation shedding off of these atoms provide the caloric energy that keeps the Warriors going. As a consequence, harmful radiation surrounds them, and their blood is incredibly dangerous. If they are subjected to a large enough concussion, such as when struck by a shot by a railgun, missile, or fast enough moving vehicle, there can even be a small nuclear event similar to a dirty bomb.
Vulnerabilities
Despite formidable capabilities, Warriors exhibit vulnerabilities. Limited imagination constrains tactical adaptability. Exotic hunger demands constant consumption of organic material to sustain internal reactors. Loose formations mitigate chain reactions from casualties, but also create funneling opportunities for adversaries. Concentrated Warrior clusters risk catastrophic nuclear events. Exploiting these weaknesses enables opponents to counter Warrior deployments: funnelling and triggering chain reactions or targeting hunger and logistical supply lines.
