Appointment

The Grand Star Admiral is appointed by a review of the SDF Promotions Board upon the death or retirement of their predecessor.

Duties

The Grand Star Admiral is the face of the SDF both in propaganda vids, public relations, and in a much more practical way, to the PSC Military Committee and the Speaker for Mankind.

Responsibilities

The Grand Star Admiral is the ultimate commander of the SDF. She's responsible for scheduling patrols, for protecting trade lanes, and for guarding the edges of human space. In truth, most of these responsibilities are delegated, and unless she decides to take direct control, her role is mostly to review and approve.
