Deadjack

"I've seen some weird stuff on the job, but this Deadjack situation was a whole new level. We thought we were dealing with a standard high-risk suspect, but then he just...got back up. And kept coming. We're talking multiple gunshot wounds, point-blank range, and he just wouldn't stay down. Turns out, he was a Deadjack, and we shot those necrotubes of his and they just brought him back like a damn zombie. We were caught off guard, and it almost got our whole team killed. Now we've got to deal with the fallout and figure out how to handle these...things. It's like nothing we've ever seen before. They denied my request for flamethrowers again."    ~Officer Rachel Kim, Homicide Division.

For Every Use, a Misuse

In the far-future, a dark and sinister force has emerged in the form of Deadjacks, necromancers who wield advanced technologies to reanimate the recently dead. They employ Necrotubes , nanobot devices that revive the deceased into Necroids, originally designed to revive commandos for continued combat use. However, Deadjacks exploit this technology to serve their own malevolent purposes.

An Army of One

Deadjacks use Gateway Reading Interconnectivity Modems (GRIMs), control hubs for drones and microbot swarms, to manipulate and control their necroids. GRIMs serve as a central hub for their dark activities, allowing them to command and direct their reanimated minions. This setup enables Deadjacks to exert control over the necroids, bending them to their will. A Deadjack on the attack in a lightly defended area can acquire an exponential number of necroids relatively quickly.

Even the Dead Aren't Safe

The Deadjacks' arsenal also includes the Necrospike, a illicit tool that copies information from a recently dead nervous system into a Ghost Mind Emulation program. This allows them to torture, interrogate, enslave, or reprogram the copied consciousness, further solidifying their grip on the reanimated dead. With these technologies, Deadjacks are among the most reviled criminals in the Pan-Solar Consortium, a fact that most Deadjacks genuinely seem to enjoy.

Deadjacking

Deadjacks might not be as talented with programming as a Cyberjack, but they do have one advantage; they can use their Necroids and broken GMEs as IMPs, allowing them to send expendable minions into interfacing with programs. They can also inflict H.Exes on their Necroids without a roll, which means that a Necroid could become a raging inferno in seconds (Human bodies can burn at 800 degrees before being destroyed, causing significant fire damage to an environment) or blasting their surroundings with a Surge.Exe. Likewise, A sufficiently broken GME can be used as a sort of sentient suicide bomber as a complex H.Exe, or downloaded into targeted hardware to perform more complex operations as an ECHO.
