Septentionalium
The largest kingdom of Saxony, fiercely religious and religiously fierce. In the Age of A Hundred Kings, they were the dominant military force on land owing to their large population and deep well of resources. Now though, they struggle to cope with their fierce, warlike nature in these times of peace. Unrest grows in the land and robbers are plenty in its heavy forests.
Technological Level
Most of the country’s industry is focused on the production and development of tools for war. In fact, they’ve gained no small renown for their master craftsmanship. This ranges from swords to axes to shields to armour, so on and so forth. Truly, if you want masterwork armaments, the best place to go is Krigenhjem, though getting there is a journey in and of itself.
Religion
While The New Ways are the official religion of the country, they practice something closer to the Old Faith. The locals prefer holding onto their local deities and protector spirits over worshipping The One Above All but, to avoid invoking the wrath of the Grand Church, they refer to those old gods as Saints nowadays. For the time being, the church allows this practise to continue though even their patience grows thin for the war-waging people of Septentionalium.
Foreign Relations
Due to its warlike nature, Septentionalium rarely gets along with its neighbors. The so called Age of Peace is no exception to this rule. While not openly engaging in conflict, Brynjar Kolsrud has been trying to draw his neighbours into battle since The Shaking of Three Hands.
To the contrary, Septentionalium has maintained strong relations with the Grand Church, with Brynjar Kolsrud even being named a saint. Due to this, they uphold the church’s holy campaign against those not of Untarred decent.
Education
Education is a matter of low importance in the land of Septentionalium. Unless it is schooling in the arts of warfare or training in smithery, there’s very little to be said for schooling. Often times, nobles send their children to the neighbouring states for learning though such exorbitant measure lie far outside the reach of the common peasant.
Infrastructure
Despite its material wealth, Septentionalium is actually rather poorly maintained. For instance, their portion of the King’s Road is very poorly maintained. It’s known as a haven for thieves and brigands riddled with broken down carriages and the bodies of the dead. While none would dare say so in front of King Brynjar Kolsrud, this portion of the King’s Road is widely referred to as “The Ruined Road”.

Legislative Body
While Brynjar Kolsrud is the King of Septentionalium, he actually controls very few decisions regarding the management of the state. Rather, these matters are handled by a committee of Councilors chosen by the King with Kingship being a more symbolic role. The King is able to declare laws or war whensoever they see fit though this is a power that Brynjar rarely utilizes. The council is mostly made up of nobles who’ve distinguished themselves in battle alongside Brynjar and are usually offered charge of a fief at the same time as councilorship.
Judicial Body
Judges are selected on a local scale, usually set in place by members of the king’s Council.
