Maggie Sue (MAW-kee-sew)
Dr. Maggie Sue Beartooth- Old-Fox (a.k.a. "kookum")
Family calls her "kookum", and neighbors call her Maggie Sue. But to academics in the genetics community, she is Dr. Beartooth. It was because of her and her ancestors that the 'Verse has viable American bison (B. b. bison, B. b. montanae, and B. b. athabascae) embryos.
She's a geneticist & embryologist. Not the "buckskin-and-feathers" kind of stereotype, that's for sure. Her husband, Grandpa George, is the practical rancher-guy. She's traditional in belief and does some stuff, but most times she's in a lab coat.
